Planning Commission Office Hours During Holiday Season
The Chester County Planning Commission office will close at 2 p.m. on December 24 and December 31. The office will be closed December 25 and January 1.
It's Official! Commissioners Adopt Landscapes3
We are pleased to announce that the Chester County Commissioners adopted Landscapes3, the county’s next long-range comprehensive plan, during a public hearing on November 29th.
Landscapes3 seeks to balance preservation and growth across the county’s landscapes through six goal areas: Preserve, Protect, Appreciate, Live, Prosper, and Connect. The plan recommits to core principles that will position the county and its municipalities for success, including resource preservation, revitalized urban and suburban centers, housing diversity, transportation choices, collaboration, and resiliency.

Residents, Stakeholders Provide Input on Chester Valley Trail West Project
Over 80 people attended the third and final public meeting for the Chester Valley Trail West Feasibility Study and Master Plan on November 7th to learn more about the plan and offer input. The goal of the Chester County Planning Commission’s meeting was to share and solicit feedback on the draft recommended alignment for the Chester Valley Trail West. This ambitious project seeks to connect Lancaster County’s Enola Low Grade Trail with the planned Chester Valley Trail Extension and the Struble Trail.
