Coatesville Anticipates Economic Development Opportunities
Good things are coming to Coatesville.
The city is already reaping benefits from being designated as an Opportunity Zone, according to a recent Philadelphia Business Journal article. Opportunity Zones were created as part of the federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 and are designed to spur job creation and economic development by providing tax benefits to investors. Chesco Self Service Accepts Electronic Plans and Online Payments
Important changes have been made to the Chester County Self Service (CSS) portal, making the proposed land development review process more convenient for municipal officials and staff, engineers, and solicitors. This portal allows for online electronic submissions of land developments, subdivisions, ordinances and plans, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of this service.

Check out New Multimunicipal Cooperation Map
An online interactive map, Multimunicipal Cooperation Works!, was added to the Planning Commission’s website. The map shows where in Chester County municipalities are working together with a regional perspective. Four types of multimunicipal cooperation efforts are shown on the map: regional planning, councils of governments, regional recreation agencies, and regional police departments. In addition to showing where these types of cooperative efforts are occurring, the map provides background information with links to online resource materials. This map is a Landscapes3 implementation project. View the map.

Planning Commission to Conduct its Monthly Meeting
The Chester County Planning Commission will conduct its monthly meeting at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 12. The board is taking its meeting “on the road” this month; it will be held at the Kennett Township Building, 801 Burrows Road, Chadds Ford, Pa., 19317.
