The Planning Commission is pleased to announce the hiring of Brian Styche as the director of our Transportation Division. Brian brings over 20 years of public and private sector experience to the position. He has worked in the planning, design, funding and implementation of transportation, trails, and parks & recreation projects all across the Commonwealth. Brian is a registered Landscape Architect in PA and has memberships with the American Institute of Certified Planners and the American Society of Landscape Architects.
Brian managed and produced the Chester County Public Transportation Plan (an element to Landscapes2), and Multi-Modal Circulation Handbook publications. In his role as the Senior Trails & Open Space Planner, Brian has worked to expand the County’s portion of the Circuit – the Greater Philadelphia region’s developing multi-use trail network – by helping to complete the Northern Struble Trail Feasibility Study and managing the current Chester Valley Trail Extension Feasibility Study/Master Plan.
