Landscapes3 is Nearing Completion

The Chester County Planning Commission is due to complete a full draft plan for Landscapes3, the next long-range plan for Chester County’s future. The draft incorporates input from residents, municipal officials, and other stakeholders.

The Landscapes3 Steering Committee will conduct a meeting from 3-5 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) in Downingtown to discuss the full draft plan. The meeting is open to the public, but focused on discussion among the steering committee members.

County residents will have an opportunity to review the latest version of the plan and provide comment during a Landscapes3 public meeting from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 2 at the CCIU in Downingtown. This will be a joint public meeting conducted by the Landscapes3 Steering Committee and the Chester County Planning Commission board.

Landscapes3 seeks to balance preservation with growth across the county’s landscapes through six goal areas: Preserve, Protect, Appreciate, Live, Prosper, and Connect.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule a meeting, please contact Planning Commission Executive Director Brian O’Leary at boleary@chesco.org or Planning Services Director Susan Elks, the project manager, at selks@chesco.org or 610-344-6285.
